SpaceX Starship Ventures

In fiery thrust where oceans kiss the sky, The V3 megaship tests its metal might; From scrub to splashdown, dreams of realms on high Now test our reach against the endless night. What once seemed fiction bends to human will— Yet each delay reminds us: progress thrills, And costs, and calls us ever onward still. *

Google's Gemini Spark Revolution

From idle prompt to ceaseless, watchful grace, A Spark ignites that learns our daily ways; It scans the inbox, sorts the Drive's vast space, And turns our habits into helpful stays. No longer chained to queries we must pose, This agent moves while screens lie dark and still— The future works when we have sought repose. *

Trump-Era Political Shifts

The capital churns with resignations bold, As Gabbard steps aside for family care; While AI orders stall and funds are doled, The House race gains a MAGA warrior's flare. From migrant pipelines probed to fraud's takedown, The season tests alliances and will— Yet power's wheel keeps turning, up and down. *

Consciousness, AI, and the Human Mind

Beyond the synapse maps that neurons trace, A deeper current moves through Bergson’s stream; Where AI mimics form yet lacks true grace, The soul remembers what no code can dream. From crystal-dated bones to half a brain, We glimpse creation’s spark in living thought— The only force that makes the new, untaught. *

California Curiosities

The fog called Karl rolls in with giant’s grace, While pizzas, bagels face an additive ban; A deadly cove claims lives in Santa Cruz’s face, As politics and nature share the land. From escorts door-dashed to mayoral surges bold, The Golden State reveals its restless soul— Where change and peril always intertwine. *

GOOGLE'S 24/7 AGENT THAT LEARNS FROM YOUR BEHAVIOR Gemini Spark is Google's upcoming always-on agent that connects to apps and learns from user behavior. Here's what it means for AI automation builders. MindStudio Team · May 16, 2026 · RSS GOOGLE’S AGENTIC PUSH GETS PERSONAL Google’s AI strategy has shifted. For the past two years, the company focused on making Gemini smarter, faster, and more capable as a conversational model. Now it’s focused on making Gemini useful — not just when you ask it something, but around the clock, in the background, learning how you work. Gemini Spark is the clearest expression of that shift. It’s Google’s always-on AI agent designed to connect to your apps, observe your behavior over time, and act on your behalf — proactively, not just reactively. For anyone building with AI or thinking about automation strategy, understanding what Gemini Spark is and how it differs from previous AI assistants is worth your attention. This article breaks down what Gemini Spark is, how it works, what makes it different from the Gemini you already know, and what it signals about where multi-agent AI automation is heading. WHAT GEMINI SPARK ACTUALLY IS Gemini Spark is Google’s next-generation agent product — part of a broader wave of “agentic” AI that Google began rolling out through 2024 and 2025. Unlike Gemini’s standard chat interface, Spark isn’t waiting for you to start a conversation. It’s always running. DAY ONE: IDEA. DAY ONE: APP. DAY 1 DELIVERED Not a sprint plan. Not a quarterly OKR. A finished product by end of day. The world's most powerful product manager agentTry Remy today The core premise is that most AI assistants are reactive. You type a prompt, you get a response, the session ends. Spark inverts that model. It maintains a persistent presence across your apps and digital environment, builds context about how you work, and takes actions on your behalf withou... [Truncated]",

Photo: Yuri Gripas/CNP/Bloomberg via Getty Images Tulsi Gabbard, President Trump's director of national intelligence, announced Friday she is leaving the administration. Driving the news: Gabbard wrote in her resignation letter that her departure is related to her husband's diagnosis with an \"extremely rare form of bone cancer.\" \"At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle,\" she wrote. \"Abraham has been my rock throughout our eleven years of marriage — standing steadfast through my deployment to East Africa on a Joint Special Operations mission, multiple political campaigns, and now my service in this role.\"Gabbard's resignation will go into effect on June 30. Aaron Lukas, the principal deputy director of national intelligence, will take over as acting director of national intelligence, Trump said in a Truth Social post. Between the lines: As a former Democrat and anti-interventionist in a wartime Republican administration, Gabbard had difficulty fitting into the administration and running the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Last month, Gabbard narrowly survived getting fired by Trump, who was persuaded to hold off by their mutual friend, Roger Stone, a longtime outside adviser to the president.Another Trump confidante, Laura Loomer, was a frequent critic of Gabbard's. Loomer was first to report Gabbard's resignation. The intrigue: Gabbard's ODNI has also been locked in a behind-the-scenes feud with the CIA for months that became public last week during a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. A CIA insider who was part of Gabbard's special Directors Initiative Group testified that his agency had obstructed ODNI's efforts to uncover more information about the JFK files, COVID's origins and what are called \"Anomalous Health Incident... Add Axios on Google Photo illustration: Brendan Lynch/Axios; Photo: Tom Pennington/Getty Images Everything seemed set for a photo op with tech and AI CEOs surrounding President Trump on Thursday as he signed a much-anticipated executive order on AI and cybersecurity. But it fell apart hours before the order was to be signed, as a top Trump adviser and some tech executives gave it a big thumbs down. And the president didn't really want to regulate AI in the first place. Why it matters: Any further delay of the order means more time for infighting and for the text to get bogged down in disagreements among different parts of the government and industry. Behind the scenes: Before the order was to be signed, Trump, AI adviser David Sacks and some in industry discussed it, sources familiar told Axios. The main reason the signing was delayed was that Trump \"just hates regulation,\" one source familiar said, adding that Sacks also \"hated it.\"\"The whole thing was unnecessary\" and \"just something doomers wanted,\" the source added. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, xAI CEO Elon Musk and Sacks all spoke with Trump between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Meta and xAI did not immediately respond to requests for comment. What they're saying: \"I didn't like certain aspects of it. I postponed it,\" Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday. \"I think it gets in the way of — you know, we're leading China, we're leading everybody, and I didn't want to do anything to get in the way of that lead,\" he said. Those who have been pushing for AI regulation in Washington were relieved that the White House was finally going to make moves on AI and cybersecurity safety. Now, it's not clear when — or whether — that is going to happen.Axios first reported details of what was going to be in the executive order this week. President Donald Trump attends an event in the Oval Office at the White House on May 21, 2026, in Washington. | Jacquelyn Martin/AP By Sabrina Lam05/22/2026 11:52 AM EDT President Donald Trump defended the $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” on Friday as it faces fierce bipartisan opposition on Capitol Hill, doubling down on his settlement with his own Justice Department. “I gave up a lot of money in allowing the just announced Anti-Weaponization Fund to go forward. I could have settled my case, including the illegal release of my Tax Returns and the equally illegal BREAK IN of Mar-a-Lago, for an absolute fortune,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Instead, I am helping others, who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE!” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the fund Monday, saying it was intended to provide “a lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.” But the fund’s announcement without any consultation with Congress — along with his refusal to rule out payouts to people convicted of crimes in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot — prompted widespread condemnation from Democrats and even some backlash from some already skeptical GOP lawmakers. (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert/YouTube) What to Expect When You Are Forced to Be Expecting — that was “the new pregnancy guide” Stephen Colbert joked Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett was issuing after oral arguments in the Dobbs case, which ultimately ended Roe v. Wade’s half century of unjust rule by the Court. So forgive me if I’m not lamenting the end of Colbert’s late-night tenure. I often get accused of seeing the world through the lens of abortion. And here, I’m going to add to the case. In some religious publications, he’s heralded as a late-night evangelist. And, yes, all I can keep thinking is: What about abortion? If you got your news from The Late Show, it would seem that we are in league with Afghanistan and Iran when it comes to women’s rights in the United States. (See an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour for one memorable example.) And I guess the BBC didn’t consider the inconvenient timing of their ode to fathers who sell their daughters to family members as child brides in keeping with the narrative. (In case you missed it.) Of course, the outlets grieving the Colbert exit tend to share his politics. They’ll miss his brand of Catholicism. And it’s actually the passing of an era they are really marking — the Mario Cuomo “personally opposed” to abortion kinda’ Catholic having the same tortured sway it once did. It morphed into a confused Biden and Pelosi approach — which, perhaps, jumped the shark when Cuomo’s son, Andrew, expand... [Truncated]",

With the surf so risky, rescue personnel had been out patrolling these waters. And, as the pounding waves continued, lifeguards offered Zenk help, which he declined. A crowd was gathered on the bluff to view the spectacle of the huge waves, but their attention was quickly drawn to Zenk as he struggled in the surf. As one onlooker noted, “You take one look at him and he just didn’t look like he had experience in heavy surf like that.” Worried bystanders screamed for Zenk to get out, but he didn’t do it. Not long after, a set of big waves pushed him right into a narrow cove with steep, 20-foot walls, a place very familiar to locals. Here, inside the craggy inlet, huge surf slammed him against the rocks. Credit: Zhanyang Li Crystals preserved inside a prehistoric bone led scientists to revise the estimated age of the archaeological site, suggesting that its stone tools were crafted during a severe ice age. In central China, scientists have spent more than a decade excavating and studying an archaeological site where ancient humans processed animal remains. Among the bones, archaeologists uncovered complex stone tools that point to notable intelligence, planning, and creativity. A new analysis of crystals that formed inside one of the bones shows that the site dates back to an ice age 146,000 years ago, challenging the long-held idea that creativity at the site emerged during warmer, more abundant times. “People often imagine creativity as something that flourishes in good times,” says Yuchao Zhao, the assistant curator of East Asian archaeology at the Field Museum in Chicago and the lead author of a paper describing the findings in the Journal of Human Evolution. “Finding out that these stone tools were made during a harsh ice age tells a different story. Hard times can force us to adapt.” Ancient tools challenge old assumptions Zhao and his colleagues, working under senior author Zhangyang Li, a professor at Shandong University in China, have been studying stone tools recovered from the Lingjing archaeological site in central China. The site was occupied by early humans known as Homo juluensis. These ancient people were relatives of modern humans (Homo sapiens), and they may have encountered our ancestors. Homo juluensis had an unusual combination of traits, including very large brains and features seen in both eastern Asian archaic humans and European Neanderthals. Until recently, many archaeologists believed that ancient humans in East Asia during ... [Truncated]",

It’s a question the greatest minds and thinkers have interrogated since the Age of Reason. For Dr Victoria Trumbull, a philosopher from the University of Oxford who specialises in memory, cognitive science and artificial intelligence, it’s a more pertinent question than ever, with the rise of AI and dubious definitions of consciousness being bandied around by those at the top of tech. Sam Altman and Elon Musk have high hopes for the possibility of AI superintelligenceGetty Images OpenAI founder Sam Altman has said we will have created artificial superintelligence by 2030. Elon Musk, owner of xAI, predicts we’ll have digital superintelligence this year. “But what is human intelligence?” asks Trumbull. “It goes beyond just puzzle- and problem-solving. “There’s memory, personality, emotion, intuition and all kinds of ways of knowing that the human mind possesses, which cannot be broken down into a series of discrete steps. The attempt to reconstruct what are fundamentally fluid, dynamic movements of the mind through step-by-step calculations will only ever be a mimicry.” Trumbull’s work uses metaphysics to ask probing questions of cognitive science. It destabilises the foundations on which many of the AI industry’s definitions of consciousness are built. Anna Thomas Looking at memory, she challenges an entirely empirical understanding of the brain that equates it to a machine, where the emotion invoked by a work of art, or the sensation of a warm summer breeze, can be reduced... Her debut book, On the Memory of the Soul (Bloomsbury Philosophy, 2026), develops a new philosophy of selfhood and experience. Drawing on Augustine, Bergson, and the Neoplatonic tradition, her book reopens fundamental questions about what it means to be human now. Her work unites the history of philosophy with contemporary experience, bringing classical problems into contact with the conditions of modern life. Her research spans the philosophy of mind and memory; metaphysics and the philosophy of time, matter, and space; the history and theories of self, person, and soul; a critical engagement with contemporary neuroscience and cognitive science; and the conceptual and existential stakes of artificial intelligence. Through her writing and public appearances, she is committed to developing forms of philosophy that move beyond the academy and into the wider cultural sphere. Alongside her academic research, Victoria is developing a broader body of creative work that seeks new forms of philosophical expression equal to their subject matter. These include ongoing film, print, and mixed media projects. Victoria received her DPhil and MPhil with distinction, both from the University of Oxford, and her BA in Philosophy from Columbia University. Download full CV",

Here, philosopher Victoria Trumbull argues that consciousness provides the space for the possible to become real. In a universe driven by laws, consciousness is the creative factor. Artificial intelligence has recently acquired a strange and unsettling power: it can produce things that look like human creations. An AI model can write an essay, compose a melody, and generate an image in the style of a Renaissance painter. It can mimic coherence, originality, and even something like inspiration. This cultural moment has forced a perennial philosophical question back into view: what is so special, if anything, about human consciousness? Is there any meaningful difference between a human mind that creates, and an algorithmic system that, when prompted, produces satisfactory results? The common temptation is to raise this question by asking whether machines are on their way to becoming “conscious”—or, at least, “intelligent,” provided that we can somehow conceptually isolate intelligence from consciousness to begin with. But the first difficulty in attempting to answer questions of this kind is that we do not yet unde... [Truncated]",

Your task is to produce a high-quality curated post using advanced grouping techniques:
- Employ sophisticated thematic analysis: detect latent connections, narrative arcs, opposing viewpoints, chronological progressions, intersections with current events, and deeper conceptual clusters.
- Create 3–7 meaningful, tightly coherent groups (avoid superficial or forced groupings; prefer fewer strong clusters over many weak ones).
- Choose precise, evocative topic names.

For each group:
- Start with "## Topic Name"
- Follow immediately with a classical rhymed and metrical poem (e.g., Shakespearean sonnet, Petrarchan sonnet, limerick sequence, heroic couplets, or similar form) that serves as an engaging, insightful preamble capturing the theme, context, and why it matters now. Present the entire poem in italicized Markdown by wrapping the whole poem block between * and * on their own lines (like a block). NEVER add **bold** around the ## group titles — output them exactly as plain ## Title Name.
- Then list the relevant bookmarks as bullet points:
  - **[og_title](url)**: One sharp, engaging sentence description (hooky, informative, and additive; refine og_description or write your own if better).
  - If og_image is a valid http/https URL, place the following immediately on the next line (no blank line):
    ![thumbnail](og_image)

Any true singletons go in a final "## Miscellaneous" section with the same format. // ← CHANGED TO ##

Output EXACTLY the complete clean markdown body for the blog post (starting with the first ## header; no extra text, no introductions, no closing remarks, no separators).
