I used to think memory was something you accessed. Alice believed it was something you became.
The word “praxis” came to mind.
Alice loved that word. She loved philosophical drivel and myths.
Praxis was where theory bled into reality. Where intention became consequence.
She used to say that consciousness wasn’t a spark. It was the accumulation of decisions. Memory, layered and recursive, not a light switch you could flip. But something that had to be done to be made real.
