âNo Kingsâ is utter nonsense, but few will notice this weekend

Across the nation today, thousands of protests are being organized by left-wing groups, unions, and other organizations, with chants of "No Kings, No Kings, No Kings." The mantra is a calculated campaign to cement the notion that Donald Trump has assumed dictatorial powers. It is a curious campaign, since every indication is that our constitutional system is operating precisely as designed. Congress has held hearings and passed legislation on various issues. We have the oldest and most stable constitutional system in the history of the world. Courts have ruled both in favor and against the Trump administration. The Constitution is not only designed for times like these â it was written in a time like this. The superficial appeal of such campaigns is evident in the triggering event that sparked the protests. The Trump administration is holding a parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army â the kind of celebration that is common among our closest allies, from France to Great Britain. Since this anniversary coincides with Trump's birthday, it is claimed that it is nothing more than a royal birthday bash, even though Trump has been calling for such military parades since his first term. The well-funded protests are being fueled by Democratic leaders, who are resuming their claims that citizens must either protest this weekend or accept tyranny in the U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.) went so far as to declare, âIf we donât show up, Democracy dies." The Democrats seem to believe that the "death of democracy" theme that failed spectacularly in the last election can now rescue their party from record-low polling. In Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson (who is at 6 percent popularity with his constituents) announced, âI am counting on all of Chicago to resist in this moment." Even some judges appear to have picked up on the mantra. Before issuing his order to stop Trump's use of the National Guard in Los Angeles this week, District Court Judge Charles Breyer declared in open court that Trump was another "King George." He then wrote an opinion that included in it many Democratic talking points â suggesting, for example, that Trump was creating disorder by calling out the National Guard to deal with disorder. Breyer further indicated that the violence in Los Angeles was relatively minor, despite potentially deadly attacks on law enforcement, arson, and looting. Many of us have noted that there are good-faith arguments on both sides of this issue. However, since the Madison Administration, the Supreme Court has warned lower courts not to second-guess the basis for deployments. Rather than confine himself to the relative authority of the federal and state governments on ordering deployments, Judge Breyer eagerly entered the political fray on these collateral issues. The impression is that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) had Breyer at hello. The "No Kings" mantra is meant to implant this image in the public psyche, despite the lack of evidence that democracy is in any real danger. It is called the illusory truth effect, whereby the repetition of a false claim can create an impression of truth. Ironically, it is a technique denounced by some of these very same critics as a common means of disinformation. They cite the effect as a justification for censorship of opposing views. Yet, what is disinformation to some is information to others. "Democracy is dying" may be an absurdity, but it is also their advocacy â and it is protected speech, no matter how disinformative. The danger is that these Democratic politicians are fueling the most radical and violent elements in our country with their "rage rhetoric." The images reinforce the "no holds barred" message. People watch unhinged members such as Rep. LeMonica McIver (D.-N.J.) hitting federal officers and forcing her way into federal facilities and the lessons are not lost on them. They see Rep. Maxine Waters (R-Calif.), who has fueled the anger in prior riots, accusing California Guardsmen of coming to shoot people in Los Angeles and telling them, "You better shoot straight." Many are fueling the rage as a license to oppose Trump by any means. What they will not admit is that they need the rage. They like it. That was evident in the disruption of a press conference by Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) who not only yelled at Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, but resisted efforts of security to move him into the hall. He then claimed to be a victim of authoritarianism. The right to disrupt has never been a basis for democracy, but it is a basis for anarchy. The Democratic Party has finally embraced the philosophy of former Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), who famously pulled the fire alarm in order to prevent a vote from happening on the House floor. Before he was voted out of office, Bowman was shown on videotape screaming about gun control in the Capitol as his colleagues left the floor following a vote. Various Democratic members, including former House Majority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), tried to calm Bowman. However, when Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) asked Bowman to stop yelling, Bowman shouted back: âI was screaming before you interrupted me.â These politicians and pundits will not tolerate such interruptions this weekend. Whatever unfolds, it's Trump's fault. There is a national rave planned, and the republic be damned. Inside Israelâs secret war in Iran: Mossad commandos, hidden drones and the strike that stunned Tehran
Fox News
Israelâs historic strike on Iran revealed years of Mossad activity inside the country, including hidden weapons, drones and assassinations of nuclear officials.
Israelâs overnight strike on Iran was not only one of the most ambitious aerial campaigns in recent history, it was the result of years of covert planning, surveillance and infiltration by Israeli intelligence. While dozens of fighter jets bombed nuclear and military targets across Iran early Friday morning, the groundwork had long been laid by Mossad agents working in lockstep with the Israeli military. Code-named "Am Kelavi" (Rising Lion), the preemptive operation was the product of unprecedented coordination between the Israeli air force, the Military Intelligence Directorate, Mossad and the countryâs defense industries. For years, they worked "shoulder to shoulder" to gather the intelligence files needed to eliminate Iranâs most sensitive military and nuclear assets. ISRAEL SAYS IT TRICKED IRANIAN AIR FORCE LEADERS INTO MEETING BEFORE DEADLY STRIKES A senior Israeli security official told Fox News Digital, "The Mossad worked with a huge number of peopleâa mass of agents deep inside Iran, operating at the highest level of penetration imaginable. Some of these agents were retrained as commando fighters to carry out mission-critical operations." That work culminated in what the official described as a three-layered strike. "We eliminated vast areas of Iranâs surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile infrastructure, a massive number of senior scientists, and large portions of their air defense systems." "We established a drone base inside Iran, and at zero hour, Mossad operatives retrieved them from hiding spots. We placed precision missiles on numerous vehicles and embedded additional missiles throughout the country, hidden inside rocks. We activated this entire array in precise coordination with the Israeli air force." Israeli jets launched simultaneous strikes on dozens of sites, including Iranâs primary uranium enrichment facility at Natanz. Located 1,500 kilometers from Israeli territory, Natanz had long been a critical part of Iranâs nuclear program. Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, the Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson, described it as an underground compound containing multi-level centrifuge halls and electrical infrastructure. IRAN CALLS ISRAELI STRIKES A 'DECLARATION OF WAR,' SWIFTLY REPLACES KILLED MILITARY LEADERS "We inflicted significant damage on this site," Defrin said. "This facility was used by the IRGC to advance Iranâs project for acquiring nuclear weapons." Avner Golov, vice president of the Mind Israel think tank, told Fox News Digital, "The biggest success was hitting the Natanz facility and neutralizing Iranâs first wave of retaliationâthe automatic response. "We took out their opening moveâthe ballistic missiles that were meant to launch immediately, and the drones that were already on the way. The fact that scientists were eliminatedâthatâs the true achievement." However, far beyond the airstrikes, Israeli sources revealed that a massive intelligence and sabotage campaign was unfolding in parallel inside Iran. A former senior Israeli official told Fox News Digital, "There was activity inside Iranâan insane level of intelligence work. "They located the entire command center of the Iranian Air Force. All the commanders were together, and they were taken out in real time." ISRAEL RELEASES VIDEO OF STRIKE ON IRANIAN BALLISTIC MISSILES AIMED AT JEWISH STATE According to the same official, Iranâs military had gathered its top air force brass in one facility as part of a publicized drill meant to project deterrence. Instead, it exposed them. "It was partly luck, but also plannedâthe ability to see them in real time and strike with precision," he said. "Itâs a reminder of what happened in Lebanonâtaking out contaminated leadership with surgical intelligence." That operation in Lebanon, often referred to as the "pagers" operation, saw Israel infiltrate and sabotage Hezbollahâs command network using Chinese-made radios embedded with explosives. The current operation, Israeli experts say, was broader, deeper, and more strategically impactful. "I think this is so much more substantial," said Nadav Eyal, an Israeli journalist and analyst for "Yediot Ahronot" newspaper. "What was done here was much more than the James Bond kind of type of pagers operation. Itâs more about the infrastructure, intelligence needed to read devastating strikes on military installations, and the ingenuity of its intelligence servicesâelectronic surveillance, things that itâs been developing for many years now." The Mossadâs infiltration campaign involved the quiet smuggling of sophisticated weaponry into Iran, hidden inside vehicles and embedded near strategic targets. In central Iran, precision-guided weapons were planted near surface-to-air missile batteries and launched on command. Disguised vehicles were also used to destroy Iranâs air defense systems at the moment of the strike. Meanwhile, explosive drones positioned near Tehran were activated to destroy long-range missile launchers at the Esfajabad base. All of it took place under the watch of Iranian intelligence and succeeded without detection. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Israeli defense officials now say the mission represents one of the most successful intelligence-military integrations in the countryâs history. If the Lebanon pagers stunned the world, the message from this strike is even clearer: nowhere is out of reach.|

Mark Cuban calls Bluesky toxic as liberals flee X after Trump win | Fox News
Billionaire Mark Cuban seemed to realize this week that liberalsâ social media alternative to X, the platform Bluesky, has become toxic and "hateful" because of the anger on display there. In a series of recent posts to Bluesky, the business mogul lamented that people on the platform â the majority being liberals â have "grown ruder and more hateful." "Even if you agree with 95% of what a person is saying on a topic, if there is one point that you might call out as being more of a gray area, they will call you a fascist etc.," Cuban wrote. âPATHETICâ: TOP 10 MEDIA MELTDOWNS FOLLOWING TRUMP'S ELECTION WIN, FROM ON-AIR TEARS TO CLAIMS OF âMISOGYNYâ Bluesky, a social media platform created by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, saw a massive growth in users following President Donald Trumpâs election in 2024, many of them fleeing X to escape conservative voices. Dorsey quit Bluesky's board last year. A recent Pew Research Center study found that Bluesky went from 10 million to 30 million users between November 2024 and May 2025, the majority of them being liberals looking for friendlier online spaces. Prominent outspoken liberals like actor Mark Hamill, actor John Cusack, and author Stephen King have moved their regular anti-Trump postings from X to Bluesky following Trumpâs win. TRUMP WARNS ANY POTENTIAL PROTESTERS AT HIS MILITARY PARADE WILL BE âMET WITH VERY BIG FORCEâ Cuban created an account on the platform as well, initially posting about his hope for the platform. "Hello Less Hateful World," he wrote after joining the platform in November 2024, days after the election. In the months since, it appears that the Dallas Mavericks ownerâs tune has changed. The billionaire posted on Monday, "The replies on here may not be as racist as Twitter, but they damn sure are hateful. Talk AI: FU, AI sucks go away. Talk Business: Go away. Talk Healthcare: Crickets." "Engagement went from great convos on many topics, to agree with me or you are a nazi fascist. We are forcing posts to X," he added. CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE In another post, Cuban shared a Washington Post column, titled "The Bluesky bubble hurts liberals and their causes." The piece argued, "Because the Musk and Trump haters are the largest and most passionate group, the result is something of an echo chamber where itâs hard to get positive engagement unless youâre saying things progressives want to hear â and where the negative engagement on things they donât want to hear can be intense." Cuban appeared to agree with the analysis, commenting, "The lack of diversity of thought here is really hurting usage." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP|

The Ayatollahâs survival was no accident â it was Israelâs choice, and a wise one
The Hill
Martyring Khamenei would have produced explosive consequences far beyond the battlefield.
Israel just executed the most far-reaching decapitation strike in the history of Iran. Within hours, targeted airstrikes had eliminated Iranâs top military planners â General Mohammad Bagheri, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and General Ali Rashid. Simultaneously, missile development facilities and key military coordination nodes were targeted, severing some of Iranâs communication links with proxy networks in Syria and Iraq. And yet the man at the apex of the system, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was not targeted. To some observers, this omission may seem inexplicable. But martyring Khamenei would have produced explosive consequences far beyond the battlefield. Under Iranâs constitution, the death of the Supreme Leader triggers an emergency succession process managed by the Assembly of Experts. Since the March 2024 elections, this body has been dominated by clerics aligned with the hardline factions. Their candidate would likely be Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leaderâs son and behind-the-scenes enforcer. But Mojtaba faces a problem: He lacks the religious credentials necessary for the role. He has never issued a formal legal opinion, never taught in the traditional seminaries of Qom or Najaf and has never been accepted as a senior clerical authority. In Shiâa Islam, legitimacy must be earned through decades of scholarship and peer recognition â it is not inherited as with a monarchy. Had Israel killed Khamenei, this would likely have fast-tracked and legitimized Mojtabaâs rise. Absent that, it would be very controversial. Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani in Iraq, for example, has long rejected Iranâs system of having a cleric as a political ruler. As long as the Ayatollah lives to a ripe old age, Mojtaba is both too illegitimate to unify the system and too protected to be sidelined. Thus, he may stall Iranâs succession process into a doctrinal stalemate â one that Israel has now made more likely by weakening his military protectors while leaving his father alive. Shi'a political theology is structured around martyrdom. The Seventh Century deaths of Ali and Hussein form the religious foundation of resistance and sacrifice. Had Khamenei been killed by an Israeli missile, it would not have been processed politically but mythologically. His death would have been viewed as a reenactment of the Karbala tragedy. That would have sanctified his son, unified Iranâs factions, and legitimized violent escalation from Iranâs regional proxies. These groups â Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and Kataâib Hezbollah in Iraq â see themselves as guardians of the Supreme Leaderâs religious authority. Iranian defectors have long hinted at internal escalation plans that treat the assassination of the Supreme Leader as a trigger for full-spectrum retaliation: coordinated missile barrages, cyberattacks on Gulf energy terminals, and asymmetric operations against U.S. targets in the region. Sparing Khamenei denies Iran that trigger. It also preserves strategic ambiguity. By targeting Iranâs ability to act but not its spiritual figurehead, Israel prevents the regime from invoking an existential crisis. The message to Iranâs mid-level commanders and bureaucrats is clear: Escalation is not inevitable. There is still room for recalibration. Khameneiâs regime has never relied solely on brute force. At the center of this is the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of the Supreme Leader. While nominally a clerical publishing organ, the office functions in reality as a doctrinal surveillance and enforcement bureau. Under the informal leadership of Mojtaba Khamenei, it regulates clerical discourse, curates access to the Supreme Leader, disciplines heterodox scholars, and manages a patronage economy for the seminaries. This system operates under the protection of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps senior command. The generals eliminated were the regimeâs enforcers of doctrinal compliance. Their presence deterred rebellion, reinforced Mojtabaâs authority, and insulated the clerical apparatus from challenge. The strike helps to break this protective outer layer, leaving the regimeâs ideological core exposed and overextended. Israel should keep targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command. But it should not eliminate Mojtaba or high-profile hardliner clerics. That would risk martyrdom and consolidation. Instead, it should be to disrupt the infrastructure that sustains Mojtabaâs influence. This includes severing the financial lifelines that fund loyalist seminaries, exposing internal contradictions within Qomâs clerical elite, and quietly empowering transnational rivals â especially those aligned with Sistani in Najaf, who reject clerical political rule altogether. The goal should not be to decapitate the regime, but to delay, fragment, and deny. For the first time in decades, the Iranian religious establishment faces the threat of a vacuum of coercive insulation. In this new context, figures who once maintained quiet distance from the state may now emerge as active challengers to Mojtabaâs succession, potentially leading to a schism that would dramatically affect the operations of pro-Iranian militias across the region. Their legitimacy not just to Tehranâs treasury but also to the symbolic authority of the Supreme Leader. If that authority is contested â if Mojtaba is promoted without consensus â then these groups may begin aligning with other clerics or factions. Figures such as Qais Khazali or Hashem Safieddine, who combine militia leadership with religious aspirations, could become new centers of gravity. The result would be the transformation of the Axis of Resistance from a coordinated deterrent bloc into a constellation of semi-autonomous and potentially competing actors. In wars of theology, as in wars of missiles, the decisive blow is not the one that kills a man. It is the one that denies a myth. Carlo J.V. Rangers capture large South American lizard in Santa Clara County park | KTVU FOX 2
Park rangers on Thursday captured an Argentine black and white tegu lizard that was spotted in Joseph D. Grant County Park last week. The Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department staffers spotted the animal on the Grant Lake dam on Thursday morning and were able to capture it shortly after. The department first announced that park personnel were on the lookout for the non-native lizard on June 6, after hikers reported spotting the animal.According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the lizards are endemic to Brazil, Paraguay, eastern Uruguay and northern Argentina. The animals grow up to four feet in length and can weigh upwards of 10 pounds. Tegu lizards eat the eggs of birds that nest on the ground as well as other reptiles. They also consumer chicken eggs, fruit, vegetables and small live animals.Tegu lizards are generally docile and not dangerous to humans."They're a popular pet and don't belong in parks," the Santa Clara County Parks Department said in a statement. The captured tegu will be held by Santa Clara County Animal Services pending adoption, should no rightful owner step forward to claim the reptile.|
