After more than half a decade of allowing their businesses to be weaponized by activists, corporate leaders are now refocusing on the main goals of businesses.
Corporate America is poised to unlock its potential as never before. For years, progressive activists have successfully pushed boards of directors and CEOs at top companies to support and promote radical causes that would never stand a chance at the ballot box. The end-result has been to compromise many corporate leadersâ commitment to fulfilling their fiduciary duties and diminished the American economyâs capacity to deliver prosperity for the American people. A correction is long overdue. And itâs finally underway. Consider the recent news from BlackRock, where CEO Larry Fink has signaled his companyâs rejection of legally risky and divisive "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" commitments, and abandoned his position as a leader in the so-called "Environmental, Social, and Governance" revolution. DEATH OF DEI IS A MASSIVE REMINDER THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO RUN A BUSINESSBlackRockâs course correction is confirmation of a massive sea change throughout Corporate America. Other financial giants like State Street and JPMorgan Chase have also ditched DEI, along with household brands like Walmart, Target, McDonaldâs and Ford. The list is expansive and should be encouraging to every American CEO, shareholder, consumer and employee. After more than half a decade of allowing their businesses to be weaponized by activists, leaders like Fink are now refocusing on the main goals of businesses. Those goals are at the center of the Good for Business Coalition and our Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation. This coalitionâs vision rests on four pillars: creating economic value, maintaining clear accountability to shareholders, avoiding entanglement in political controversies, and advancing the general welfare through business success rather than political advocacy. LAWFARE AND THE DEATH OF DEI AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION This approach recognizes an essential truth: that businesses serve society best when they focus on what they do best: creating wealth by delivering consumers with goods and services that people need and want. Profit is what drives a pharmaceutical company to develop life-saving medicines. It also drives a technology company to create tools that enhance human capability to do great things that our grandparents could never have imagined. This doesn't mean corporations should be indifferent to broader social questions or have a license to provide unethically. It simply means that their specific contribution to societyâs well-being is through doing what business does best. That means living up to high ethical standards and good business practice, pursuing operational excellence, maintaining clear accountability to shareholders and avoiding unnecessary political entanglements. It means measuring success by the value created for customers and the returns generated for investors. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) as a âwoman that has really no life experience.â Greene levied the attack on Ocasio-Cortez, who has positioned herself as a leading voice for the Democratic Party as its voters grow more frustrated with the Trump administration, during an appearance Tuesday on âThe Eric Bolling Show." âThis is a woman, sheâs never been married, she has no children, sheâs never had a job other than working in a bar, and that was short term for what we understand, sheâs never run a business,â Greene said. âThis is a woman that has really no life experience and has no life wisdom because sheâs never done any of those things.â âThis is why no one will take her serious as a presidential candidate,â she added. Greene and Ocasio-Cortez have long traded insults in the House. The Georgia Republicanâs most recent comments come as the New York Democrat has joined Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on a speaking tour across the country and as her name has been floated as someone who could challenge Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in his next primary. As a young progressive, Ocasio-Cortez has been looked to by many Democrats as someone who someday could lead. She was elected in 2018 and assumed office at the age of 29, making her the youngest woman to ever serve in Congress. Ocasio-Cortez has built a large online following of millennial and Generation Z fans, who have taken to her outspoken nature both in Congress and on social media. Ocasio-Cortez is largely quiet about her personal life, but she got engaged to Riley Roberts in 2022. Greeneâs husband, with whom she has three children, filed for divorce in 2022. Before Greene ran for office, she and her husband owned a construction company. The Hill has reached out to Ocasio-Cortezâs office for comment.|

Walz, who rose to prominence after being selected as Kamala Harris' running mate on one of the worst presidential tickets in U.S. history, is seemingly gearing up for a presidential run in 2028. And as he demonstrated during the 2024 campaign, he simply can't open his mouth without putting his foot in it. Walz made headlines in recent weeks, showing his solidarity with the Democratic Party burning Teslas and attempting to destroy dealerships by saying he enjoys looking at Tesla's stock price dropping. Not only did Walz apparently not realize that his own state's pension plan is heavily invested in Tesla stock, but he opened himself up to being roasted by Elon Musk. READ: Elon Musk Brutally Destroys Nasty Tim Walz With Simple Tweet Then, he walked it back, saying he was making a joke. Except, as Tesla's stock performance shows, the joke is once again on him. Tesla Stock Goes Way, Way Up After Tim Walz Celebration When Walz made his comments, he proudly celebrated that Tesla was $225 per share and dropping. As of the close of the stock market day Tuesday, Tesla is now at $288 per share. For those counting at home, that's a 28% increase in just a week. Special, special stuff. Walz must be furious. Or thrilled that his state's pension fund has made an absolute fortune, almost certainly due in no small part to his own incompetence. This is the problem with Tim Walz; he is spectacularly bad at public speaking, spectacularly bad at politics and incapable of situational awareness. Walz might be the human example of the inverse Jim Cramer; anything he thinks is going to go down, goes up. Wonder if Disney will hire him to celebrate their stock price dropping. Maybe thatâll help fix their disastrous "Snow White" box office.|
